Alan Wu | President:
Alan is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic and Certified Functional Nutrition Practitioner. He is the owner of two clinics in San Francisco and Campbell. Alanobtained his bachelor degree of Molecular Cell Developmental Biology from UCLA in 2004 and finished his Doctor of Chiropractic training with high honor in 2011. One of his passion and lifetime goal is to bring the strong philosophical and scientific chiropractic into Taiwan medical system so to enhance Taiwan’s health care system. He joined TAJCCNC in 2014 and has been actively involved with multiple events planning since then. He really appreciated TAJCCNC provide a platform to meet like mind people and they eventually become good friends and trusted partners. As the president of the chapter, his goal is to provide members a resourceful environment to network, foster leadership and promote entrepreneurship.
At his free time, Alan enjoys outdoor activities such as backcountry backpacking, snowboarding, golfing and hiking.
Kenneth Hong founded and is now running a blockchain company, CoinTech, Inc. His company is taking a unique approach in disrupting the cryptocurrency space. Prior to this, Kenneth was in the Apple’s Marketing Department contributing to the success of the App Store. He is also a serial entrepreneur advising for various start-ups.
As a member on the board of directors of TAJCCNC, Kenneth Hong will strengthen enthusiasm of young Taiwanese-American professionals and bring about stronger member base through networking for new members and relationship development of existing members. Kenneth believes in TAJCNNC and the vast potential it still has and strive to realize that potential. As the organization becomes stronger, we all become stronger together.
Secretary General & Treasurer
Samantha (Sammy) is a recent graduate from the University of the Pacific, where she studied Economics and International Affairs and Commerce. Sammy currently works at Chronicle Books as a Jr. Financial Analyst. Prior to Chronicle Books, Sammy was an Events Business Analyst at a consulting firm in Tiburon.
Sammy plans to support the team and TAJCCNC to serve its mission and host meaningful events to provide the most value and benefits for TAJCCNC members.
Business Development Officer
Austin has an extensive interdisciplinary education and work experience. He is currently the Director of Business Development/Corporate Strategy of MoBagel (an AI startup in the Silicon Valley). Prior to this, Austin spent 3 years in Singapore doing human stem cell research at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), 2+ years doing product management/sales at a pressure sensor startup in Taiwan/SF Bay, and < 1 year of intellectual property consulting for biotech/medical device companies.
Furthermore, Austin is Project Management Professional (PMP) and PMI-Agile Certified Professional (PMI-ACP) certified.
Austin obtained a B.Eng(hons) in Biochemical Engineering from University College London and a M.Sc in Biomedical Engineering from University of Oxford in the UK. He also studied 2 years at the joint UC Berkeley-UCSF Bioengineering PhD program.
Other than TAJCCNC, Austin also holds membership at Chinese Bioscience Association (CBA), Chinese American Biopharmaceutical Society(CABS), and Project Management Institute-Silicon Valley Chapter.
Marketing Operations Officer
Missy has 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry and now in the packaging printing project portfolios. She has experience managing multi-company and multimedia projects, including Strategic Sourcing, Merchandise Teams and International/Domestic suppliers to ensure brand compliance and consistency on packaging with multiple vendor partners.
After graduating from Liautaud Business school in University of Illinois at Chicago, Missy strives to promote the concept that “Project management is a social science in all industries and our daily life.” and find the best solutions among all stakeholders. Her next step is to continue finding a lifelong working partner and giving a better growth into the marketplace.
Terence is a Mechanical and Aerospace Engineer who currently works at Cruise Automation GM as a System Test Engineer. After graduating with a Bachelor degree from University of California, Davis in 2012, Terence worked in supply chain manufacturing for about years, first entering the precision machining world supplying parts to General Electrics, Applied Materials, Boeing, Misasole and Axtron. Then was supplying high nickel base alloys to Pratt & Whitney, Good Rich, G.E. and Rolls Royce. Terence is constantly interested in new professional challenges, experiences and networks. Within TAJCCNC, his efforts as an Media Officer is to further grow and empower the North California entrepreneurs in their business and network of all kinds.
Charlotte is the Product Operations Manager at DecorMatters, an AR interior design mobile application startup in Silicon Valley. She is strong in defining problems and integrating solutions, she also believes in the power of data-driven product management and digital marketing strategies. Charlotte started her early career at Marie Claire Magazine and Citibank to develop market insights at a young age, now she is a certified data analytics and management expert. Truly knows what drives a conversion to the product, her next step is to become an user experience designer by leveraging her business background and the passion for design.
Chia-Yu (Jack) Wu graduated from Texas A&M University with a Master of science degree in electrical and computer engineering. He is the former president of Taiwanese Student association at TAMU 2013-2014. Currently, he works at Intel as a software engineer.
Website Maintenance Officer
Jie-Gang joined Apple Inc two years ago after he received his master degree in computer engineering from Columbia University. Before Jie-Gang came to the US, he received his bachelor degree in electrical and control engineering and master degree in communication engineering from National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan, and had been working in Ambarella Taiwan LTD for more than four years.
Jie-Gang plans to assist the team to hold more events which could help our members succeed in their business and entrepreneurship.
After 20 years of teaching, Sue Yang, the founder of First Movement Music Academy -herself a musician, music educator, curriculum developer, and a parent - has established a creative and unique bilingual music program- BamBoo preschool music curriculum in mandarin that utilizes art, sensory play and eurhythmics to immerse children in the fundamental of music without resorting to the formal rigidity of the traditional music lesson. Music is a gift and she wants to bring music to families from age 0 to 100 to share that gift with best way she knows how, through teaching.
Since joining the Taiwanese American Junior Chamber of Commerce in 2011, Sue has served as local chapter's Board of Director, SG, VP, and President; Taiwanese Junior Chamber of Commerce North America (TJCCNA) Board of Director, VP, and World Taiwanese Junior Chamber of Commerce (WTJCC) member.

Ms. Sophie has a strong background as an entrepreneur and public speaker. She is currently an Unfranchise Owner with SHOP.com which specializes in social shopping with 5000+ affiliate branded stores. Sophie Lin is a partner for Pure Blendz, Inc; Partner of SPL Int'l Inc. She is the founder and first former president of TAJCCNC 2005-2006. She is president of TJCCNA 2011-2012. She coordinate a number of fashion show and fundraisers to benefit various nonprofit organization. Sophie earned her degree in Interior Architectural Design from Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
